Think of these posts as an opportunity to informally but thoughtfully engage with some aspect of the materials that stood out to you as particularly striking or significant. If you choose to write on a primary object (literary text, film, new media work), discuss how specific features such as language, form, audio/visual effects, tone, or emotion shaped your perception of “data” in the work. If you are writing on one of the secondary sources, outline the author’s primary argument and why you find it compelling or, alternatively, not totally convincing. If you are writing about an activist/Digital Humanities website, describe your experience of engaging with one of their projects and how it changed your perception of potential ways we can intervene in issues of biased or discriminatory data.
